Krissy page 7

Yugi lies there panting unable to move much. He looks down at his leg and sees a hand a hold of him. He recognized it as the man who had kidnapped Sara and his grandfather. He pries his leg out from the dead hand since the man had died Yugi had to break it to get free. He musters what little strength he has left to run up the remaining stairs and jump. Standing there waiting to catch him was Sara as the two escape the tunnel watching the rest of it collapse.

"Yugi?" Joey asks his friend who had gone into deep thought, "are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine," Yugi replies.

"You never told me the story about that day," Joey remarks as he prepares to question Yugi about it he reads the look his friend has on his face, "why is Krissy afraid to duel?"

"Everyone wants the deck, she doesn't want to lose it."

"Ah." The two sit there for awhile letting silence fall as Sara comes in and gives them some tea. They watch as a few kids come into the shop to buy cards and Joey is all to eager to duel them. Yugi sits back and watches remembering when dueling was like that just something to do not saving the world. Suddenly he looks up like he did before but this time he ran out of the shop. "Sara take over for me!" He yells back as he runs.

The dragon screeches as it flies ever closer to the shop. When it gets a certain distance above the ground Yugi can clearly see that it had been attacked. The dragon sweeps around once and then collapses smashing into the ground throwing it's passenger off it's back. Yugi freezes as the scene unfolds and stops to prevent himself from being hit. When the smoke clears and the dragon fades he looks down at his feet. His eyes widen as he sees who it is. Atem? he thinks as he bends down and picks up his long lost friend he makes his way back to his house. "Coming through!" he calls as he charges in forcing people to separate.

"What's going on Yugi?" Sara asks. Her eyes drift down answering her question. "Take him to Krissy's room. He can stay there until he wakes then we can figure out what to do with him." Yugi nods as he begins to climb the steps.

The bell dings as another crowd gathers outside waiting for Krissy to come out. She looks out her classroom window with Jono next to her. "Why don't you have this problem?" she asks.

"I do, but it's more or less just not as bad," he replies. He looks Krissy over and shakes his head to get rid of the thought that crossed his mind.

The two were watching as a dark shadow is cast over the school and five cloaked men appeared. Seeing the sight causes Krissy to gasp as she recognized the presence as the ones who took the boy earlier. For the first time she runs out of the building and into the crowd. Five duels had already been set up as the members of the crowd try to beat the men. One after another they fall victim to the duelists losing their souls. "Who's next?" one of the men asks with a sneering voice.
